About Anne
As a jewelry artist, my mission is to spread joy through whimsical designs that are easy to wear and make people smile.
I grew up in New York City in the 1980's & 90's. It was gritty. I built up a tough exterior that I thought was mySELF. However, when I started making art, what came through were delicate flowers, representing a lighter more whimsical side of myself that had been hidden.
Through building my jewelry collection, I've connected more and more with my truest self and my inner sense of joy. The fact that so many people also connect with my jewelry and that it brings them joy as well is even better than I ever could have imagined.
All of my jewelry is handmade by me, using 14k gold filled wire that gives it a delicate look while providing a lifetime of wear. The pieces feel light and fun, at the same time embodying the classic beauty of genuine gold. Signature (and most popular) designs include gold wire flowers, mixed metal bumblebees and colorful stacking bracelets.
In an attempt to run a "waste free" studio, all of my scraps are melted down and recycled.
I also occasionally enjoy repurposing vintage jewelry pieces into the work to create special one of a kind treasures that tell a story.
Inspiration comes from shapes and lines I see in nature, artworks from every era, and women who connect to a sense of play.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for supporting my mission to spread joy,
Anne
