About Anne
As a jewelry artist, my mission is to spread joy through whimsical designs that are easy to wear and make people smile.
Growing up in New York City in the 1980's & 90's was gritty. I built up a tough exterior that I thought was just who I was. However, when I started making art, what came through were these delicate flowers, representing a lighter more whimsical side of myself that had been hidden.
While developing my jewelry collection, I connected with my inner sense of joy and I started to notice that it made others happy too. The fact that so many people connect with my jewelry, and that it brings them joy as well, is even better than I ever could have imagined.
All of my jewelry is handmade by me, using 14k gold filled wire that gives it a delicate look while providing a lifetime of wear. Because I make each piece by hand, they are all individual, no two are exactly identical, just like us.
The pieces feel light and fun, at the same time embodying the classic beauty of genuine gold. In an attempt to run a "waste free" studio, all of my scraps are melted down and recycled.
I also occasionally enjoy repurposing vintage jewelry pieces into the work to create special one of a kind treasures that tell a story.
Inspiration comes from shapes and lines I see in nature, artworks from every era, and women who connect to a sense of play.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for supporting my small business and my mission to spread joy,
Anne
